WASHINGTON - By claiming that Democrat Barack Obama is “palling around with terrorists” and doesn’t see the U.S. like other Americans, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin targeted key goals for a faltering campaign.

And though she may have scored a political hit each time, her attack was unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.

First off, the “attack” is substantiated. Obama DID pal around with the terrorist Ayers. In fact Obama has a rich history of palling around with people of questionable backgrounds for years. His relationship with Tony Rezko itself should be reason for not getting a single vote from anyone. Hell, the same could be said for his relationship with Ayers, and the racist, radical who was Obama’s personal spiritual adviser, Jeremiah Wright. Pick one, anyone of them should raise alarm.

The most ridiculous statement from this pseudo intellectual smear piece, though, is this:

Palin’s words avoid repulsing voters with overt racism. But is there another subtext for creating the false image of a black presidential nominee “palling around” with terrorists while assuring a predominantly white audience that he doesn’t see their America?

In a post-Sept. 11 America, terrorists are envisioned as dark-skinned radical Muslims, not the homegrown anarchists of Ayers’ day 40 years ago. With Obama a relative unknown when he began his campaign, the Internet hummed with false e-mails about ties to radical Islam of a foreign-born candidate.

Whether intended or not by the McCain campaign, portraying Obama as “not like us” is another potential appeal to racism. It suggests that the Hawaiian-born Christian is, at heart, un-American.

The fact is that when racism creeps into the discussion serves a purpose for McCain. As the fallout from Wright’s sermons showed earlier this year, forcing Obama to abandon issues to talk about race leads to unresolved arguments about America’s promise to treat all people equally.

Let’s see, the ONLY one pushing ANYTHING that has ANYTHING to do with racism are commie-left dolts like the idiot who wrote this smear piece.

Bottom line; a vote for Barack Obama is a vote that flies in the face of everything that is reasonable, sane, informed, and intellectually honest.

A Barack Obama presidency is a horrifying prospect.

The more I think about McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin, the more I doubt this really was an off-the-cuff moment for McCain. Sure, Palin, the world, and most everyone in McCain’s inner sanctum—except perhaps a handful—had no idea this was coming. But I think that Sarah Palin has been on McCain’s radar for some time and more than peripherally.

If this is the case, than Palin’s pick could very well be one of the most thought out, strategized, far-sighted political maneuvers in history.

Think about it: For the past several months Obama has been positioning himself as a dramatic agent of change.  The themes of “Change” and “Hope” have been his bread and butter. His outsider past—as weak as it is—has been pushed front and center. In response, McCain countered by pointing out Obama’s obvious experience defect. What this did was get Obama slightly off message which resulted in his choosing of Joe Biden, an entrenched Washington insider, as his running mate to counter the “lack of experience” argument. What Obama did was flinch at a McCain right fake. Sarah Palin is follow-up left hook.

You don’t fake with a right then follow-up with a left hook without thinking about it. It takes time to set the opponent up.

Rightly or wrongly, for many people across the nation, the “experience” argument is not as important as “Change” (“Hope” being empty rhetoric). Where Obama gets it wrong is his belief that Middle America is willing to buy an establishment Democratic Party as an agent of change simply because the Democrats are not Republicans. But for many Middle Americans the change needs to occur with the establishment, whether Democrats or Republicans.  Obama’s flinch was picking an establishment insider from one of the most unpopular institutions in American history.

For years the MSM has buttressed McCain’s anti-establishment, independent streak. McCain’s follow-up left hook was picking an anti-establishment, unknown, independent minded governor with an 80-plus percent approval rating in her home state.

In just a matter of days, McCain has seized the mantle of “Change” , something that does matter to many in Middle America, by demonstrating a true willingness to think and act outside of the establishment. All of this while maintaining his obvious edge with “experience”.  Obama has lost credibility as an agent of change while now relegated to talking about “experience”.

Brilliant.

I just watched Sarah Palin personally bitch-slap Obama, the commie-lib media, and the Dems. I have to say that, at the outset, she’s my kind of gal. What Sarah Palin has done was draw a big target on her forehead and told the opposition to “Bring it on, if you really wanna dance.” Trust me, they’ll want to dance and you ain’t seen nothing yet as far as media biased slander, and politics of personal destruction.

I get the feeling that she is downright giddy at that prospect.

This is one tough chick.

Trust me when I say this; right now, the Dems and commie-libs are worried. They’re worried shitless as they should be because Sarah Palin struck a chord with a lot of people across the country. Not too many of the commie-lib elites are even aware of the power of the “common person”, but those that are know that if that block of voters can be coaxed off their asses on election day, McCain and his Annie Oakley VP are going to be riding roughshod all over the status quo.

All of the above being said, I’m still withholding my final judgment. I’ll have to see how she stands up to the heat that’s coming her way.  But I will admit I do finally have some hope. It’s the kind of hope that the racist Obama wants no part of.

It’s dead even now, but I predict that within four weeks McCain/Palin will be up by 10 points if Palin holds her own. Mostly because of shit like this.

I tell you, the commie-libs are really melting down over Sarah Palin being picked as McCain’s VP. This is typical behavior of the commie-libs when they are in meltdown mode.

Alan Colmes of Hannity and Colmes wrote a post so inappropriate and offensive the Kos Kiddies would be envious. He accused Governor Palin of not taking enough care of Trig when he was an unborn baby. A man who has no problem with a woman killing her unborn baby through an abortion actually has the nerve to ask if Governor Palin took too great a risk with her pregnancy:

Here is why the commie-libs are so whacked over Sarah Palin. It’s because of people like me. Really. See, people like me are conservatives, but not religious. To be sure, Palin will appeal to the religious dolts, but this gun totin’, gay tolorant, huntin’, fishin, don’t take no shit from the establishment, principled political babe is SO what the doctor ordered. On the outset, she represents the true American ideal in so many ways. If--and I mean IF--she pans out, the commie-libs will certainly have a lot to worry about.

The other day I heard Nancy Pelosi open her yak and say some of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard come from the pie hole of a commie-lib.  In one interview I heard her claim that the Catholic Church has no stance on abortion, that even if there was a definitive answer to when life begins it wouldn’t matter, and that natural gas is not a fossil fuel.

Holy hell, this is some of the most amazing bullshit I’ve ever heard. Now, I’m going to be up front in saying that I’m not a religious person. In fact I deplore religion. Also, I have a pretty moderate stance with regards to abortion. I’m thinking that I don’t have a problem with abortion in, say, the first or second trimester, but when it comes to the third trimester …. That’s pretty much murder unless the life of the woman is at risk. Anyway, to deny the Catholic Church has no stand is a lie.

Also, the commie-lib Nancy Pelosi’s statement that even if a baby IS alive, it didn’t matter is appalling. What she’s saying is that when it comes to her version of “choice”, even murder is OK.

As far as the natural gas thing … I mean, what CAN you say. The fact that people still vote this hole into office if beyond baffling to me.

I still haven’t completely wrapped my mind around John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate. One thing I do know for sure is that the commie-libs are all a twitter which means that she must be a major threat to them.

Really, check out some of the commie-lib websites and you can see the spewing of talking points that were obviously texted to all of them from the racist/Marxist Obama. What is amazing to me is the snide, elitist tone from the left. They tout the racist/Marxist Obama’s education and his seemingly sophisticated approach. Palin? Why she’s just a former mayor of a small town. Never mind that she is a governor. How many former governors have been President?

Also, I find it hilarious that part of the commie-lib talking points forwarded by the racist/Marxist Obama is the term “McSame” in reference to their misguided notion that McCain will be the same as G.W. Bush. The reason this is so stupid is because McCain’s willingness to buck his Party and think outside of the box is legendary. His choice of Palin is yet another example.

Tell me, how many times has the racist/Marxist Obama parted with his Party? How about Joe Biden?

Really, the more I see the commie-libs froth at the mouth and self destruct, the more I’m thinking McCain’s pick of Palin may have been a genius move. Of course we won’t know shit until at least a few more weeks, perhaps after a debate or two.

The reason I’m on this rant is because I just finished listening to Laura Ingraham spew forth the idiotic idea that if John McCain picks a pro choice VP candidate it will DOOOOOM his candidacy. Bullshit. There are plenty of conservatives who don’t give a flying fuck about abortion. You don’t have to be a pro life, Evangelical Christian in order to be a conservative.

Within the abortion debate there is a common sense approach that lies somewhere between the two extremes. If you talk to most reasonable--key word being “reasonable"--people, you will find that they don’t have a pressing problem with an abortion during the first trimester. When it gets to the second trimester things get dicey. However, when it comes to the third trimester and/or partial birth abortions, REASONABLE people draw the line. Keep in mind, though, religious people are not very fuckin’ reasonable.

Bottom line; there are so many pressing issues confronting this country: Russia, Iran, The War on Terrorism, the economy, the real threat of ascendancy to the Presidency by the socialist and racist Obama. Fuck, the list never ends. If someone bases their entire vote on the abortion issue, or religion, they shouldn’t be voting. 

I’m just saying.

Russia is nothing more than a xenophobic, anti Semitic, racist, ultra-nationalist pariah. Any discussion with your average “Putin Youth” Nashi participant will make my observation more than obvious.

This guy mostly gets it right, but the reality is that much more extreme measures must be taken. Too bad that the EU and UN is made up of a bunch of weenies too neutered to do what really needs to be done.

What needs to be done? Well, in a just world every nation in the EU along with the US should be mobilizing arms and headed to Georgia right now. Georgia, and Ukraine should be admitted into NATO yesterday. Russia should be told to leave Georgia now or suffer the consequences at the hands of a united West. NATO and EU troops should be on the way NOW.

Also, Iran should be immediately barricaded by NATO and the EU. An ultimatum should be put forth to Iran; disarm, change government, or be destroyed. Sound harsh and extreme? Yeah it does, but contrary to popular disinformation, this is not a world of diplomacy. It is a world of might. The West, namely the US, and democracy are the most just forms of government. The West has the moral superiority and the might. A world consisting of Western ideals is a much better, just, and superior world than one consisting of any other ideology. Period.

I’m going to do my part by promising you this: If I hear some douche bag claim moral equivalence between the Russkies and our policy in Iraq, or claim that Russia was in the right, I’ll give them a foot to the nuts and an elbow to the head, and follow it up with a knee to the ribs. While said douche bag is laying on the ground gasping for air, I’ll take a nice long piss on the prone pussy.

A lot of the financial advice that he puts out is pretty sound, but when it comes to life insurance this guy is a blithering idiot. Trust me on this. I wonder how many people have compromised their retirement/financial plan by taking his blithering idiocy to heart. One thing to remember when it comes to retirement/financial planning is that there are very few if any absolutes. When someone starts spewing out things like, “all cash value life insurance policies are horrible” be very cautious. When someone spews a one-size-fits-all plan, be very cautious. I hear Dave Ramsey do this all of the time. How many times have you heard him say as a blanket statement, “save your nest-egg, open up ROTH IRA with a good growth mutual fund, get debt free, get ONLY term life insurance and invest the difference ...”

The truth is that the Dave Ramsey blanket financial plan can be pretty stupid for some people. The reality is that term life insurance is good for some people’s situation, and that a good variable universal life or whole life insurance policy is good for other situations. Let me throw out a question; what is the biggest bill that most Americans pay? It’s taxes. Your biggest bill is to the tax man. When you tap into your 401(k) after you retire you will be paying income taxes on the payouts. When you tap into that killer growth mutual fund that you’ve been contributing to, you will pay taxes. Plus that 1099 you got in all the years past. Of course if that killer growth mutual fund was in a ROTH IRA you wouldn’t pay any taxes on the gains. But, right now the annual limit to a ROTH is 5000 bucks per year. Also, if you make over $169,000 jointly the ROTH is probably out for you. What if you are above the income limit but want to have an investment option that offers the tax advantages of a ROTH? A cash value life insurance policy could very well be great deal for you because the cash value in an insurance policy can be accessed tax free.

In a good variable universal life insurance policy the tax advantages will most likely far outweigh the charges of owning the policy. It’s a FACT. If you do the math, taking into consideration the ultimate service charge of Uncle Sam, the variable universal life insurance policy can prove its worth. Dave Ramsey be damned. Also, what if you’re contributing the max to your 401(k) and you’re maxing out your ROTH? Well, it MAY be a good idea to cut back on what you’re contributing to your 401(k) down to what your employer matches (make sure to take advantage of that free money) and then use the difference to take advantage of the tax advantages of a good cash value life insurance policy. It could help offset the tax hit you’ll take from payouts from your 401(k).

Of course it’s much, much more complicated than this. A good, solid financial plan is a complex, long-term undertaking. If you’re serious about this--and you should be--consult a professional who is equipped to mold an approach to your specific needs and goals. DON’T listen to some fool on the radio.

Here is what I believe is the best advice in this regard. Consult a professional who does not have all of their eggs in one or very few baskets. If you go to a place that only specializes in insurance, insurance will probably be the only solution offered. If you go to a master of mutual funds, then mutual funds will be the solution. A straight up stock broker/wealth management person will also be limited. The professional you consult should be someone who is licensed and has access to all of these things. That way they are not trying to fit you into a plan limited by their lack of tools. What they will do is fit the plan to you and your needs and they will have access to all the tools needed to do it. They should have access to everything from life insurance, to disability insurance, to annuities, mutual funds, money market accounts, CD’s, long term care, wealth management and stock brokerage, and everything in between.

Do this and turn off Dave Ramsey.

They want to raise taxes on “obcene” profits of oil companies. Hell, we’ve even seen some commie-libs call for the nationalization of oil companies. You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to know that raising taxes on oil companies will result in higher costs to the average, getting pumped up the ass fuel cosumer. Also, we all know how efficient the guvment is when it comes to running shit.

When it comes to the high price of oil, commie-libs want nothing to do with a solution. What is the solution? It’s simple; its a supply and demand issue. The ONLY way to decrease the price of oil os to either increase supply or decrease demand. That’s it. What ideas do commie-libs put forth to confront that simple fact? Nothings. See, commie-libs don’t WANT oil prices to come down. They want you and me to be bent over. They think they’re saving the earth.

Here’s the deal. If the guvment announced today that ANWAR, the coasts, and every other place in this country was going to be opened up to drilling, the price of oil would drop substantially in a week.
